Felicitas Bergwerk: diving in the mines!
Diving in the Felicitas mine. Diving in Germany’s old mines is fascinating in a very special way. Floating and almost silently wandering through the galleries and halls carved by miners’ hands in a bygone era is unique and indescribably beautiful.
Underwater paradise for “cave salamanders” and lovers of the underwater world. Until 1990, slate was mined as a building stone for roofs and facades. Two tunnels at a depth of about 30 and 50 metres can be reached via a more than 100-metre-long brake hill (inclined shaft).
